So, I fell off the wagon of my list of 20. Uh-oh. What to do, what to do? I am going to pick myself up and get back on that wagon! I didn't do most of what I wanted to do, but I realized that this is not just about completing a list of things, it's about discovering who I am and what is important to me. I did learn things about myself and actually completed some. Here are some of the things that I've done (not all but some).
I did start a doctoral program. I was fortuante to find a program that works with professionals. I have finished two classes. Due to the the classes that I have already completed for my education specialist degree, I'm already half way to comps!!
I also did travel. I hit the four state goal! I went to Cincy, Ohio one night after work. Not a very far drive, and I will leave it at that ;). I went to Rhode Island. I was able to see some family and some of my birth state. Love that place! Unfortuantly I hurt my leg even worse while running in Newport and that has stopped any long distance running for awhile. On the journey back to K-Town from Little Rhody, I made a pit stop in Hershey! It was an overnight stay and then a wonderful excursion to the chocolate factory. My fourth state was Oooooooooooooo-klahoma! I made my first of many trips out there for school. I honestly haven't seen much of the state, just Tulsa, well really just the ORU campus. I was able to go to one of the basketball games. Not a big bball follower, but they won so that made it fun.
I have also tried to support my students more by going to football and basketball games. I will be going to the spring musical. The production this semester: The Wizard of Oz! Anyone who knows me, knows that is my all time favorite movie!! I have it memorized, no one can change my opinion about it.(I know that my brother and sister secretly love that movie too, they just aren't as vocal about it.) I think that movie had something to do with my obsession of shoes. Luckily for Christmas my sister, brother-in-law and nieces got me a Wizard of Oz snuggie.
I'm sure there is more that I've done, but can't think of it right now. I've decided that I'm not going to limit myself to a list. I don't do well with lists. I'm going to do what is important to me and what I want to do. Those are my new life goals!

Some things done!
So, I let Alan know that I forgive him for everything that happen, and he had the nerve to blame me! He wanted to rehash the entire thing and get together to talk. No thank you! I have had enough and feel better about that.
I have also been accepted into a doctoral program and I'm planning on starting in November!
Yesterday I did something totally impulsive. I went up to meet Matthew on the Kentucky/Ohio line. I guess I was still in Kentucky, but I have visited one state of the 4. I was there for 5 hours and drove back early this morning to get home in time for work. Had a great time!

Something New for last week and this current week
I realized I haven't posted in awhile. The new thing that I did last week was go to the bar by myself. This week, 8/30, I went to church by myself. I have also seen things that I hope to never see again. My neighbor was murdered on Friday by her ex-boyfriend. While I was fortunate to have been at work when the murder and suicide took place, when I go home there was still physical evidence left.
Lauren was very nice woman, a mother. She always said hi to me and everyday, even Friday just 30 minutes before she was killed, told me to have a good day. We would walk our dogs together and talk about everyday things. She is going to be missed.

Number 3 is done!
Well I did it!! I had a beer at Irish Times by myself! Mike and Rocco were my witnesses. When I was leaving Mike told me he was proud of me. You know, I'm pretty proud of myself. I also bought a scale today to work on the weight loss. Not looking forward to stepping on it tomorrow morning, but it must be done! I am determined to have a positive attitude about that one.
Working on the list!
Well I'm sitting at Irish Times by myself and having a drink. In a little bit I'll be able to cross one thing off the list!

Day 3
I have thought of a couple of other tasks for my list. I need to finish the list and start tomorrow!
Additions:
14. Be able to drive downtown and figure out my way around without asking Carrie for help
15. Help a stranger
16. Spend quality time with my parents
Well, I'm spent! Hopefully I'll be able to come up with 4 more for tomorrow so I can start on the list!
